The World Series, sigh…

As much as I hate the Rays not being in the World Series it is nice to see two non-traditional power house teams compete for the title. Although, from a Tampa Bay fan’s stand point it’s kind of similar to last year’s World Series you don’t like the Yankees because their division rivals, but you also hate the Phillies for besting the Rays and denying them that World Series banner the year before. Unfortunately, this year as a Rays fan, while the dislike for both teams may not be as intense, it really is reminiscent of last year with different reasons. There are just things that are unsettling about both teams. This year the Rangers who had former promising Devil Rays players Josh Hamilton and Jorge Cantu on board as they thoroughly beat down the Rays at home with a game five loss in the ALDS.
