Rays Notes: Rehab Appearances, Jeff Keppinger Strikes Out

Both Jeff Niemann and Luke Scott were in action for the Charlotte Stone Crabs last night, with different results. Scott was 2-4 with a home run, two runs scored, and two RBIs; meanwhile, Niemann gave up four runs on six hits and two walks over 3.1 innings in his start, while striking out three batters.

Jeff Keppinger struck out for the 15th time this season Tuesday night. Keppinger and Juan Pierre are the only players with over 200 at bats to have fifteen or fewer strikeouts.

Even though Fernando Rodney had a blown save last night, the Rays still have the lowest ERA, lowest opponents batting average against, and most strikeouts since the All-Star break.
