The Gift of a Lifetime

As we slide into the new year I would like to take a few minutes to thank a special player on the Tampa Bay Rays for his contributions to the team, the city of St. Petersburg, and myself. Just recently passed was Christmas, for those that celebrate it, a few short weeks ago. I used to exchange gifts with my closest friend in the past, yet since marriage and kids in recent years financially it has become more and more difficult. Yet the spirit of giving never seemed to leave my dear friend’s heart. This year I was fortunate enough to receive the gift of a lifetime that I am able to view and listen to time and again. I received an egraph of Ben Zobrist, which basically is an online autograph and personally recorded message just for me. Ben Zobrist has meant a lot for me over the last few years as I have followed his heroic climb through baseball and the Tampa Bay Rays as well as an anchor on my fantasy baseball team several times. Not only is The Zorilla known for his play on the field, he is also known as a man of high faith, which also strengthens my admiration for him. Zobrist was once quoted as saying “I just felt like everything fell into place so much, that this is what I was supposed to do” talking about his baseball career.  In the days of catastrophies & famine throughout the world Zobrist is seen as my hero of strength. A role model for the youth of the sport. A man no one should be ashamed to aspire to be. So thank you Ben Zobrist for being an inspiration to many. May you continue to lead the Rays to success both on and off the field.

Please feel free to copy & paste the following link to my Egraph (And remember to click the play button to hear the message.)
