Two Rays affiliates had off on Tuesday. The other two wish they did.

Triple-A International League: Charlotte Knights (CHW) 5, Durham Bulls 2

The Bulls got shut down. White Sox prospect Terry Doyle went 8 innings, allowing just 2 runs on 4 hits, striking out 5 while walking 1. 71 of his 110 pitches were strikes. The only runs he allowed with on a Leslie Anderson solo shot and a Jesus Feliciano RBI single. Jim Paduch started for the Bulls and allowing 4 runs, 2 earned, on 7 hits, striking out 3 while walking 2. He was followed up by Brian Augenstein, who was making his first appearance since April 7th because of injury, and it went well as he allowed just 1 hit in 2 innings, striking out 2. Augenstein was a bright spot in the otherwise frustrating 5-2 loss for the Bulls, who fell to 19-29 on the season.

High-A Florida State League: Brevard County Manatees (MIL) 9, Charlotte Stone Crabs 1

Same story, different pitcher. Taylor Jungmann, the Brewers’ first round pick in 2011, dominated the Stone Crabs, going 7.2 innings allowing 1 run on 6 hits, striking out 8 while walking 2. His groundout to flyout ratio to 7-3. The only run he allowed was a Phil Wunderlich solo shot. Braulio Lara struggled for Charlotte, going 5+ innings allowing 5 runs, 4 earned, on 8 hits, striking out 2 while walking 1. Eliazer Suero followed with a disaster relief appearances, allowing 4 runs in 2.2 innings, walking 4 without recording a single strikeout. The big hitter for the Manatees was Reggie Keen, who went 3 for 4 with 2 doubles, a homer, and 4 RBI. Mikie Mahtook and Derek Dietrich each went 1 for 4- they’re too hot right now to be held without at least a hit each- and Robby Price went 2 for 4, but this one really got out of hand. The Stone Crabs fall back to .500 at 22-22.
