Road Win Streak Over

The Chicago White Sox ended the streak of road sweeps beating the Rays 4-1 last night. The Rays have a tough time hitting the ball against the Sox, getting 3 hits in the past two games and all of those hits by Carl Crawford with a blast in the first inning and two infield hits. The Rays face Mark Buerhle tonight and as we all remember, the last time the Rays faced him a no hitter was recorded.
There still is some lack of hitting coming from the middle of the line up particularly in the 3 spot. Ben Zobrist is not starting the season on fire like he did last year. Zobrist who made the all star team last year, is hitting .228 with 16 strikeouts, amongst the most in the league. I was thinking to move Zobrist to hit 6th and move BJ Upton to bat 3rd but I would hate for Upton to move out of that spot with how well he is hitting. Lets hope he gets out of this slump sometime soon and for Upton to keep up this great hitting like he was supposed to do 3 years ago.
David Price had his first poor outing of the season going 5 innings, giving up 3 runs and only striking out three. Price did not have good command on his fastball and the Sox took advantage of that, giving up a homerun and three walks.”I didn’t have anything,” Price said. “I had a high fastball in the zone, that’s all I had.” I wouldn’t worry about this game with Price, especially how well he has pithced in the previous two games.
