Friedman has a plan at the Winter meetings
By Unknown author

Andrew Friedman is busy at work at the Winter meetings in Orlando. Although he didn’t make any moves on Monday, he stated talks are going well and he is busy working on deals and plans.
So what is he up to? On the offensive side, Friedman is looking to add at least two veteran bats, most likely a DH/1B and an outfielder. There are so many names out there at this point it is hard to figure out what the Rays will sign. He is also looking for relief pitching. He has stated he needs arms at this point, not stating he is looking for elite closers, but durable and dependable arms. The Padres are interested in Bartlett and have pitching, so keep an eye on that as well.
By the end of the week, expect the Rays to have a few new faces in their roster.
