The Rays announced last week that they will televise five spring training games.

March 10 at 1 p.m. ET: Red Sox at Rays (Sun Sports)
March 15 at 1 p.m. ET: Marlins at Rays (Sun Sports)
March 18 at 7 p.m. ET: Red Sox at Rays (FS Florida)
March 21 at 7 p.m. ET: Yankees at Rays (FS Florida)
March 23 at 1 p.m. ET: Phillies at Rays (Sun Sports)

MLB.com writer Bill Chastain reported that it is the most telecasts of spring training games in the history of the franchise.

The broadcasts will be live, state-wide, on either Sun Sports and Fox Sports Florida.

It should be fun to see how the team has come together and who will step up this season. There certainly is a lot of opportunity for some young players as well as a few grizzled (and not so grizzled) veterans.

In addition to local product Casey Kotchman, former Ray catcher and 2000 International League MVP Toby Hall is working out for the Rays, hoping to extend his career with the team he began it with. Hall has spent the past two years dealing with shoulder injuries and last played for the Texas Rangers.
