Rays and Tigers Postponed

The game this afternoon started and the Tigers jumped out to a quick 2-0 lead in the first inning. By the third inning, though, the day had turned considerably darker. It was pouring by the bottom of the third, so the game was delayed. The powers that be waited a few hours and then postponed the contest.
The game will be made up, thankfully from the beginning, on June 13, which was an off day. The Rays will travel from Baltimore, play a game in Detroit and then fly back home to face Boston.
Even though the Rays have to make an extra stop in June, this rain out came at a good time. They’ve been scuffling lately, so hopefully when they come back, the Rays will be playing better.
The Rays have an off day tomorrow before taking on Cleveland at the Trop.
