Kotchman Ready to Go

Casey Kotchman will be in the Rays lieup tonight as Tampa Bay finishes the regular season against the New york Yankees. Yesterday, Kotchman was taken out of Tropicana Field on a stretcher after an attack of severe chest pains. Tonight, he will be trying to help the Rays clinch the AL Wild Card or at least keep them in a tie with Boston. Kotchman has seven of his ten homers at home and has batted near .300 against the Yankees this year. Sean Rodriguez, who filled in last night at first base, will go back to the bench with Reid Brignac getting the start at short and Ben Zobrist at second. Kotchman has been the Rays most consistent hitter this year and leads the team with a .305 average. Joe Maddon and the Rays are definitely glad to have him in the lineup for their last regular season game.
