Around the Twitterverse: The Start of Spring

Spring Training officially got underway last Monday, but the first full squad workout was Sunday. The twitterverse was alive with tweets from Rays players on their first day of workouts. Matt Joyce bestows a high honor on Sean Rodriguez:
First day down, awesome to finally have all the guys there and have a full workout! I think Sean rod won player of the day award..

Evan Longoria is counting down the days until the first spring training game on Saturday:

Moving on from Sunday, Elliot Johnson was all a-Twitter this week. Johnson had a good assessment of the Rays pitching staff, from a batter’s point of view:
Day 3 of live BP from our pitchers and let me tell you, if your jersey says "Rays" on it, then you can really play. These guys are good!

Johnson’s very useful fantasy baseball advice:
“@kyty111: @ElliotJohnson9 expecting big things this year for my fantasy baseball squad..."

Pick up Longo and you're off to a good start bro
One final tweet from Johnson, giving props to Pirates pitcher AJ Burnett:
Props to AJ Burnett for taking care of McCutchen for giving up his #34 and starting a college fund for McCutchen's soon to be born daughter.
