Rays Notes: Brandon Allen, All-Star Voting

Brandon Allen was reinstated from the disabled list, and promptly designated for assignment. Allen was hitting 2-20 with 1 home run for the Rays before being placed on the DL with a right quadriceps injury. Should he clear waivers, he will likely be assigned to Durham.

Evan Longoria is currently in third place in the All-Star voting for third base, behind Adrian Beltre and Miguel Cabrera. Only B.J. Upton is in the top third at any other position for the Rays.
