This tweet from Sun Sports sideline reporter/anchor Todd Kalas may be the most positive of the entire season for the Rays.

Yes. Luke Scott, Kyle Farnsworth, and Jeremy Hellickson are on their way back from the DL. The Rays desperately need offense and we know that Scott can provide that. Same story in the bullpen, and it will be great to see Farnsworth in the big leagues fro the first time all season. Pairing him with Rodney and Joel Peralta, whose suspension will end soon, will be deadly in the late innings. And Jeremy Hellickson is the defending AL Rookie of the Year and a pitcher that we’ve seen some incredible starts from, and although he was struggling for a while before he went on the DL, hopefully everything is cleared up now and he’ll be as good as ever.

Farnsworth and Scott each made rehab appearances for the Triple-A Durham Bulls on Tuesday night as part of a crazy 12 innings marathon, which you can find as part of our minor league recap from earlier today.

In some minor league/draft related notes, Leslie Anderson, a Cuban defector who the Rays had high aspirations for at one point is on the Durham DL with a groin injury, Matt Buschmann will remain at Durham (just discussed him), and the Rays are working on signing 9th rounder Joey Rickard out of the recently-crowned national champion University of Arizona, which will give them an idea of how much money they have to spend on first rounder Richie Shaffer and their other unsigned picks, most notably catcher Taylor Hawkins.
