Rays Notes: Alex Colome, Injury Updates

Alex Colome was named Southern League Pitcher of the Week for last week. For the week, Colome gave up 2 earned runs in 16 innings, allowing 10 hits and 3 walks while striking out 12 batters.

Jeff Neimann is scheduled to pitch in a simulated game on Friday. Should he get through Friday without any setbacks, Neimann is expected to make at least one rehab start before being activated.

The Rays are “encouraged” by Evan Longoria‘s progress on his rehab assignment, yet they have not determined a time table for his return to Tampa. Longoria is 3-17 with 2 RBI, 4 walks, and 5 strikeouts in 6 games for Durham.
