Rays Get Perfect-Gamed… Again

Oh no. Not again. The good news is that the Rays getting perfect-gamed by Felix Hernandez only counts for one game in the standings. The bad news is that, obviously, they got no-hit again! Back in April following the Phil Humber perfect game we looked at how and why the Rays have been no hit so often. Hernandez makes it three perfect games and five no-hitters overall that have been thrown against the Rays, a pretty unbelievable number.
#DidYouKnow - Since 2009, the Rays have been no-hit 4 times, the only team to be no-hit more than once over the past 4 seasons.

Not that King Felix wasn’t absolutely ridiculous.
Innings 6-through-9, the Rays swung 31 times and whiffed 19 times

#Rays Longoria on Felix: "This was probably the best stuff that I've seen from somebody in quite some time.''

Jacob Larsen on Twitter did have a positive spin for the no-no.
@thesacbunt Really?? Notice that every year that #rays get no-hit/perfect game thrown against them, they make the playoffs.

The Rays begin a series with the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim on Thursday night and hopefully can put their short-term memory loss abilities to use.
