Bobby Abreu has been on a tear this fall and continued with another strong game on Friday night. One might have to wonder if his performance has peaked the interest of an MLB team.

Dominican Winter League: Tigres del Licey 5, Toros del Este 4

In a marathon that lasted 16 innings, Licey came out on top. Emilio Bonifacio singled in the winning run in the top of the 16th and went 4 for 8 in the game. Joey Terdoslavich went 1 for 3 in the losing effort for Este and stole his first base of the fall. Mayo Acosta also went 1 for 3 on the game and caught the first 9 innings before being pinch ran for. One of the 18 pitchers used in the game was Winston Abreu and he was only able to record one out while facing 3 hitters.

Mexican Pacific League: Mayos de Navajo 8, Aguilas de Mexicali 4

Wes Bankston led the offensive attack for Navajo by going 3 for 5 with 2 home runs. He raised his average to .319 for the fall. Jon Weber went 1 for 5 with a run scored to help out the cause for Navajo. Russell Branyan went 1 for 4 with an RBI for Mexicali. Branyan has had a pretty miserable fall, as his average is still only .213.

Roberto Clemente Professional Baseball League: Criollos de Caguas 4, Cangrejeros de Santurce 1

James Houser got the start for Santruce and went 3 solid innings while only allowing 1 run on 3 hits while striking out 3. Andy Gonzalez went 3 for 4 with an RBI to help lead Caguas to the win.

Venezuelan Winter League: Leones del Caracas 8, Tigres de Aragua 6

Caracas won the game on a walk off 2-run homer in the bottom of the tenth off the bat of Ramon Cabrera. Bobby Abreu continued a strong fall campaign by going 2 for 3 with a 3 run homer for Caracas. Even though he likely won’t get much more than a minor league deal if he tries to continue playing in the US, Abreu may still have something left in the tank as evidenced by his strong fall. Henry Wrigley went 1 for 3 in the winning effort as well. Wilson Ramos went 2 for 5 with a 3 run home run for Aragua.
