R.I.P Don Zimmer

There are few men in baseball who everyone loves. Don Zimmer was one of those men. A classy guy who left his heart and soul on the field, Don Zimmer was as much a part of baseball as… well summer. Some men change the game through their talent. Don Zimmer changed the game through his passion.

After being in professional baseball in some capacity every year since 1949, Don Zimmer died Wednesday and baseball has lost a cherished member of its family. Tomorrow at Rays Colored Glasses, we will go back and take a look at Zim’s career and just how much he has given to the game and baseball. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Zimmer’s wife, kids, and the rest of his family and friends.
