The A’s just acquired Ben Zobrist and Yunel Escobar from the Rays, but could the two teams soon connect for another deal? We know the A’s like DeJesus because he was always that high-OBP Moneyball type of player, especially in his Kansas City Royals days, and he also played in Oakland in 2011.

A glance at the Athletics’ depth chart would make you think that they could also make a play for DeJesus. After all, they are currently lined up to have a Sam FuldCraig Gentry platoon in left field! However, thanks to the versatility of Zobrist and Marcus Semien, that isn’t truly the case.
