6. Philadelphia Phillies
The Phillies recently traded away 37-year-old outfielder Marlon Byrd, and it would be quite amusing if they “got younger” by replacing him with the 35-year-old DeJesus. Of course, that makes little sense. However, are the Phillies really going to go with a deteriorated Grady Sizemore as their starting right fielder?
The fact that the Phillies aren’t contending probably means that the answer to that question is “yes, at least until a prospect is ready.” However, Sizemore (and the inconsistent Domonic Brown), make David DeJesus’ name worth mentioning before we quickly whisk it away.
