We know how disappointing B.J. Upton has been in centerfield for Atlanta, and DeJesus could be a potential replacement or platoon partner if that continues. Is Zoilo Almonte really the player the Braves want to push into the spotlight if Upton sits?

Aside from that, the Braves face some questions regarding their catching situation, specifically whether Christian Bethancourt will hit and whether A.J. Pierzynski will do more good than harm. If either player falters, Evan Gattis would need some time at catcher, opening up the Braves’ left field job on at least an occasional basis for a guy like DeJesus.

Update: Now that Gattis has been traded, the fit here looks a lot better.
