2B – Ryan Brett – 24 years old – AAA

His hitting stats haven’t been pretty over the last 2 seasons and they’ve taken their toll on his stock as a result. What makes him most intriguing now is that he seemed to work through whatever issues he had going on and finished the season with a .299/.327/.423 line through 104 PA.

He’s very sound defensively speaking and could be ready to take over at 2B any time the Rays need him.

Other: A wildcard since he was injured in 2015, Jake Hager could be on the map with a strong first half of the season. Also, it’s possible the Rays decide to move Daniel Robertson to 2B if required.

Next: At SS may be the most impactful reinforcement
