Alex “Big Horse” Colome

This one may be the oddest on this list. If it weren’t linked to cheating, it would be much higher on the list. Apparently, Colome was caught taking horse steroids and then gave himself this nickname.

Alright, this one shouldn’t stick for many reasons. First of all, it’s degrading to horses to link them to cheating. I’m all for athletes messing up and stepping up to admit it, however to embrace it as much as Colome did goes over the top. Second, who wants to be called Horse all of the time? It’s too close to Hoarse, Whores, and Chores.

Unfortunately, the story behind this one likely makes it stick.
