Desmond “Flash” Jennings

There’s no way to find the true source of where this nickname came from, but you can see how it makes sense. I’ll add a reason after the quote though.

"He is fast (duh), but he also shows flashes of power. And in 2011, when the Rays need somebody to save their universe, Jennings came up and did just that."

I’d like to propose that “Flash” applies to Jennings in three ways: he is fast, he does flash the glove, and he flashes in-and-out of the lineup throughout the season. That’s a more recent occurrence, but it does reinforce the nickname.
