Evan “Dirtbag” Longoria

Most people would likely know him as “Longo”, but that’s not the most creative nickname he’s earned. Sometimes your past and present just seem to fit and you become one.

"We call him The Dirtbag because of how he plays and because he played college ball at Long Beach State whose baseball team has the coolest mascot in sports…The Dirtbags. @LBDirtbags looking solid this year. Keep it up, keep grinding and believing. #Dirtbags — Evan Longoria (@Evan3Longoria) March 1, 2015 Longoria played college baseball at Long Beach St whose mascot for the baseball team is “The Dirtbags”. Longoria is also a throwback player that would find a way to get his uniform dirty in a sterile environment @LBDirtbags looking solid this year. Keep it up, keep grinding and believing. #Dirtbags — Evan Longoria (@Evan3Longoria) March 1, 2015"

It’s a good enough nickname to get in the middle of the pack, but now we’re stepping it up a notch with the top 3.
