The Tampa Bay Rays are still hovering around the .500 mark, and could make a run in the second half of the year. But what if they falter heading into the trade deadline?

It certainly appears as though the Tampa Bay Rays are set up for a nice run in the second half of the season. The schedule is going to be easier, and they will be getting some badly needed help in the coming weeks. If everything goes according to plan, the Rays should be in great shape as they head into the second half of the season.

However, we all know the saying about best laid plans. What happens if the Rays fall out of contention as the trade deadline approaches? Considering the trade rumors that had been swirling about the team during the offseason, it could be a busy deadline as the Rays look to continue building up their farm system.

Even if the Rays find themselves in contention, it is still possible that they sell a player or two while looking to strengthen their roster. After all, they do have an excess of pitching in their system, and are always looking for a great deal. It is possible that, even if the Rays find themselves contending, that they receive an offer too good to refuse.

So which players on the Tampa Bay Rays could be on the move? Let’s take a look at the roster.
