#5 Nate Lowe

While it’s not even certain that Nate Lowe is going to be on the major league team for the majority of 2019, I believe that he will have a big impact upon making the jump to the big leagues.

Lowe had a meteoric rise through Tampa’s system in 2018, going from High A to AAA and performing exceedingly well at all levels. He hit 27 home runs across the three levels, demonstrating his well above-average power. While his production slowed down upon his arrival to AAA, showing he still needs a bit more seasoning down in the minors, it may not take long for him to be major league ready, as he was in Short A just two seasons ago.

With a bat that good, it won’t be long before he’s making a big impact, and, at the time of writing this article, the Rays are still looking for a significant bat to play 1B/DH, and Lowe can fit right into that mould.

Next. 5 Rays prospects have been opening eyes down under. dark

If he can develop in 2019 as quickly as he did in 2018 expect him to get the call mid-season and start mashing.
