I talked about the lovable Rays second baseman Joey Wendle.

"Wendle is the consummate professional. He exemplifies the Rays better than anybody else. He isn’t flashy but he gets the job done.  He goes out and competes every single day. To put it simply, Wendle or “Mendle” is a gamer, a winner. How could you not love the guy? And, how could you expect him to do anything else this spring other than compete?"

I mean, how could you not love watching him go out and compete every single day?

Wendle will play a big role in 2019 as the starting second baseman for a Rays team looking to get back to the playoffs for the first time since 2013. The best part is that he seems more determined to succeed this year than he did last season.

I can’t wait to see what “Mendle” will bring to the table in 2019!
