The Tampa Bay Rays announced that Kevin Burkhardt will join the Fox Sports Sun broadcast for twenty games this season. Also inside, what games can you watch this Spring Training?

Kevin Burkhardt is a long time baseball media veteran. Most popular nationally for his work with nation Fox as an in studio host for their Major League Baseball coverage. Burkhardt is also a great play by play voice for the NFL on FOX. This 20 game stint with the Tampa Bay Rays will not be his first rodeo in covering localized baseball. He was apart of the SNY Mets coverage for years.

Do not worry, The regular Rays broadcaster, Dewayne Staats, is not being phased out. Nothing for him is changing. Besides the fact that when the 66 year old needs an off day, or 20, throughout the course of the long 162 game grind, the Tampa Bay Rays have a regular replacement in Kevin Burkhardt. All of Burkhardt’s play by play duties will come on road trips.
