Get your 2024 Tampa Bay Rays City Connect gear now
The Tampa Bay Rays City Connect uniforms were revealed this morning, and now they're available for fans to purchase before they make their on-field debut this Friday.
The team opted to pay homage to the the Tampa Bay skateboarding and counter-culture scene. The jerseys have a grip tape pattern, the font is eerily reminiscent of early 2000's skateboarding brands - kind of like Thrasher magazine.
The logo on the hat blends a manta ray with the Sunshine Skyway bridge and it is a clear homage to the throwback Devil Rays logo and color scheme.
The alternate logos all have something to do with the region as well, as eagle-eyed fans will notice the sun-glint logo eye in the St. Petersburg pelican.
It's pretty cool overall. And like we said earlier, they're available now.
