The Tampa Bay Rays recently came off of a crushing 13-0 win over the Toronto Blue Jays that was spurred by a start from right-hander Taj Bradley. Following in lockstep with recent personal trends, he delivered another fantastic start, going 6.0 innings, striking out seven Blue Jay batters, and allowing no runs on just two hits.

After this game, Bradley's scoreless inning streak now increases to 23 innings. The last earned run he gave up came back against the Texas Rangers on July 6. Over the stretch of scoreless innings that includes starts against the New York Yankees and Cleveland Guardians, Bradley has allowed a combined eight hits and 20 strikeouts.

On top of all this, prior to the Texas Rangers outing on July 6, Bradley racked up four straight wins in which he got 33 strikeouts and gave up just three earned runs. He has also gone at least 5.1 innings in not only these four straight wins, but also in the Rangers, Yankees, Guardians, and recent Blue Jays starts as well.

Taj Bradley isn't just the class of the Rays' rotation. He's the class of baseball.

It is time for Major League Baseball fans everywhere to start recognizing Bradley as one of the best pitchers in the game right now. Coming out of the 2018 draft, he felt like a promising pitching prospect the Rays had added to their system (like they commonly do), and six years later, that recognition is coming to light at the major league level.

This also is very helpful for Tampa Bay in the future as the starting rotation gets healthier. Bradley is well on his way to confirming a spot in it next season, and he can help to make it one of the premier pitching staffs in all of baseball.

Bradley is just another accomplishment the Rays have completed in their pitching factory. His future looks bright in St. Pete, as Tampa Bay may have scored on yet another great arm for future seasons.
