The last couple of weeks haven't treated the Tampa Bay Rays very well. They have lost seven of their last 10 games and hope that they would be able to keep pace in the formidable AL East this season has begun to dwindle. One hopes that they can get back on track with this series against the highly motivated Brewers, but some crummy weather in the area has it's own plans.

As is customary in the state of Florida in every season other than winter, rain is always a potential problem and playing in a minor league stadium means there are going to be more delays than usual. Such is the case on Saturday as it has already been revealed that we are going to be starting in a rain delay. This is apparently the first home game for Tampa that has ever been delayed by rain which is pretty funny until you think about why and then are sad again.

**UPDATE: 4:15 PM EST**

Fortunately, this is indeed going to be a short rain delay as the Rays just revealed that, assuming the weather continues to cooperate, first pitch against Milwaukee will be at 4:35 PM EST.

Rays vs. Brewers Rain Delay 5/10: Here is when the game is supposed to start

A quick look at the forecast and weather radar in the area suggests that they are going to be able to get this game in. There are scattered storms over land at the moment and while there is a massive storm out in the Gulf, it doesn't look like it is supposed to make a hard westward turn today. These Florida pop-up storms can chain together sometimes and nothing is certain, but fans shouldn't have to wait too long for this game to start.

Once this game does start, it should be a fun pitching matchup as Taj Bradley is on the bump against Tobias Myers. Myers is still getting his feet under him after an IL stint to start the season, so this could be an opportunity for the Rays to ambush a pitcher coming off a bit of a layoff.

We will keep this post updated as more information about the weather and when the game is actually going to start becomes available. It is weird that we have to worry about bad weather at home games, but here we are.
