Rays vs. Guardians Rain Delay, April 29: Updates, Start Time, Full Details

There are a lot of positives about the Tampa Bay Rays being in the state of Florida. Warm weather, lots of amenities for fans to enjoy when they are not at the park, and some really good food and breweries if you look around enough. Unfortunately, one of the downsides of Florida, the rain, seems to have followed the Rays up to Cleveland for their matchup against the Guardians.

The weather has been an issue all week for much of the country as storms have been rolling through as the temperatures warm up. While many areas are starting to clear up, the Ohio Valley area still is dealing with some rotten weather and that unfortunately includes the city of Cleveland. There was always a decent chance that Wednesday's game would be impacted, and that is exactly what happened as we are officially in a rain delay.

Well, that didn't take long at all to figure out. Assuming the forecast for the area holds true, the Rays and Guardians should be squaring off at roughly 2:30 PM EST. Your long nightmare is officially over.

Thankfully, it appears as though this rain delay could be brief. There were forecasts that made it possible that this game would have to be postponed altogether, but the situation for the afternoon has improved considerably. If you are placing bets, a delay of an hour or less here seems like the a solid wager.
