The MLB All-Under-25 Team was assembled recently to respect the incredible youth in the major leagues. Each player represented on this lineup is under the age of 25 and it definitely consists of some raw talent. The starting lineup offers four Rookies of the Year (Gunnar Henderson in 2023, Paul Skenes in 2024, Drake Baldwin in 2025, and Nick Kurtz in 2025), four 2025 All Stars (Junior Caminero, James Wood, Pete Crow-Armstrong, and Paul Skenes), and one Cy Young winner (Paul Skenes in 2025). It's very impressive to see how these young players are performing at the highest level and one of them could be in a Rays jersey for a long time.
It must be very reassuring for Rays fans to see Junior Caminero's name next to all of these budding superstars for the second straight year. In 2024, The Athletic gave Caminero the benefit of the doubt after his fantastic Dominican Winter league performance. Now, after 45 home runs in his 22-year-old season, the third baseman was a lock for this type of recognition.
To put the cherry on top, the Dominican-born infielder hit .350 with three home runs in the electric World Baseball Classic, including a homer off of 23-year-old ace Paul Skenes. His stardom will continue to rise, and Rays fans can't wait to see what's in store in 2026.
To round out this high-powered lineup, Gunnar Henderson joined his third straight MLB All-Under-25 Team as he doesn't turn 25 until June. Sluggers Pete Crow-Armstrong and Roman Anthony also took part in the World Baseball Classic for Team USA, and they will look to continue their power trends as they combined to hit 40 homers a season ago. Nick Kurtz was the best power hitter of this youthful group as he hit 36 home runs in only 117 games in 2025. That's a pace of 50 homers in a full season for the 2024 fourth overall pick.
Another interesting member of this award-winning squad is Rangers' corner outfielder Wyatt Langford. The 24-year-old Florida native hasn't been granted an All-Star appearance yet, but his statistics in his two-year career say otherwise. Langford has accrued a 9.5 WAR with 93 extra-base hits and 41 stolen bases in an all-around career to this point.
Despite all of the impressive talent on this MLB All-Under-25 Team, Junior Caminero may very well be the best of the best. At the age of 22, the 6'1 infielder is looking to be one of the top young players in the league for the foreseeable future. If he can play in another full season, then the sky is the limit for this skilled athlete.
